You can speak with the kami of objects and animals, allowing you to communicate and attempt to influence them. They have Attitude 2 towards you by default. The kami of objects have a limited degree of agency, primarily taking unrolled actions to do things the object might have done anyway. Sweet talking the kami of a car could convince it to start without keys, but not to drive around by itself.

You entreat the kami of an object with a show of respect and decorum. The object’s Enhancement is increased by one point when you or an ally uses it. When an enemy uses it, they face a +2 Complication. Failure to buy off the Complication causes the object to “misbehave,” avoiding causing harm or disadvantage to you.

You can ask the kami of an object or animal to watch for intruders, keep a lookout for a specific person or event, or perform some other passive task. Once the kami finds what it is looking for or otherwise completes its task, it can notify you regardless of distance, either whispering into your ear or sending a divine portent. This warning or sign can provide +2 Enhancement if it benefits an action.
If you use this Boon again before the watchful kami has completed its task, its duty is discharged and the previous use of this Boon ends.
TSUKUMOGAMI

You awaken the kami of small, ordinary objects around you to chaotic, mischievous life in order to bedevil your adversaries. It creates a Field Condition, extending to short range from you in all directions, in which objects animate to harass targets of your choice. Anyone affected by it suffers +1 Difficulty on all actions due to distraction, while you and your allies benefit from 1 teamwork Enhancement on physical actions as the little kami lend their support.The Boon requires at least some material to work with and is most often used in cluttered spaces like houses and city streets, but it can use clothing if nothing else is available
