UNREQUITED PARAMOUR

Although fate does not force them to love on anyone, it throws signs at the fatebinding that lead to the inevitable conclusion that it is their destiny to be together.

Invoke

The Unrequired Paramour is in position to offer assistance to the Scion. The Scion can apply a complication to a single enemy representing the Unrequired Paramour’s interference. The strength of this complication is equal to the strenth of the fatebinding.

Compel

The Scion gains 1 Legend, the unrequited paramour offers aid, but this comes with strings attached. The Scion gains some benefit (if no benefit can be justified, momentum can be gained) but the Scion is obligated to return in-kind. Depending on the strength of the fatebinding, this could be anything from a date to their hand in marriage. If the obligation is not fulfilled, the Fatebinding will return once per arc to remind the Scion of their obligation, and cannot be invoked or compelled, only Resolved.

Resolve

The Unrequited Paramour has had enough of being lead on (In either reality or in their own mind). An ultimatum is offered for the Scion. The Scion chooses one of the following:
• The Unrequited Paramour changes into becoming a paramour. However, as a consequence, the Strength is reduced by 3 to a minimum of 1.
• The Unrequited Paramour realizes their love will never be returned. They become openly antagonistic to the Scion. Convert this fatebinding into either a RIVAL or a NEMESIS of the same strength.
